I was born and raised in Romania and have lived in North America for nearly 25 years. Growing up, I was passionate about art, literature, and psychoanalysis, and I was fascinated by how these interdisciplinary fields use the imagination to uncover deeper meanings.
Although my interests and natural talents aligned with these subjects, life circumstances led me to pursue economics. My education in this field opened doors for me in Sales and Marketing, where I gained valuable experience working with a diverse range of clients. This experience allowed me to better understand the psychology of trust, the underlying motivations behind purchasing decisions, and people's relationships with money. Helping clients identify and achieve their goals brought me both professional and personal fulfillment.
One of the most significant decisions of my life was to step away from my career and dedicate myself entirely to raising my children. This journey taught me invaluable lessons about mothering, love, sacrifice, human development, and, ultimately, psychology.
In my 40s, I returned to school to explore the complexities of human nature. I was thrilled to land in an academic environment that combined psychology, theology, and art - fields that have always resonated with me. It was here that I discovered my passion for British Object Relations, which has since become the foundation of my theoretical approach. This theory focuses on how our early relationships, particulary with our mothers, shape the way we connect with others. It explores how unconscious patterns and hidden meanings can influence our personal struggles, limiting our growth and sense of choice.
Clients often tell me that I create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can gently and compassionately explore difficult aspects of trauma, offering care and understanding, which provides a supportive environment for healing.
